CuraSwing is the first app to give musical feedback on the swinging of the arm during walking. Using neuroscientific knowledge, it can help to improve the size of the arm swing and stimulate the entire walking movement. The concept is simple: The larger the arm swing during walking, the more intense the musical feedback.
The goal of training with CuraSwing is smoother and freer walking by increasing the pendulum movements of the arms. CuraSwing promotes arm swing through intuitive musical feedback and a sensual sound "reward".
To get started:
Connect your iPhone to (Bluetooth) headphones (ideal for walking outdoors) or a (Bluetooth) speaker (ideal for exercising in the room).
Open the app and select a music title based on your desired walking pace. You should choose the pace that best supports you when you swing your arms. If unsure, start with the slowest track, 106 bpm, and then try to build up.
Select the training duration that suits you best (10 min, 15 min, 20 min or no time limit).
Hold the iPhone in the hand of the side of the arm you wish to train. Put it in a wrist pocket (recommended) so that the iPhone doesnt fall out of your hand while exercising.
Start the music by pressing the round "Play" button.
The intensity of the music increases until the maximum arm pendulum movement is reached.
